our story
After years of travelling outside Halifax and Nova Scotia to specialty stores for products, costumes, shoes and training gear (and countless online orders), our founders, Sheena and Elena found a solution in a vacant storefront in the Bedford Place Mall. Before they knew it, Pulse Performancewear was born.
Being so deeply connected in the world of dance and acrobatic athletics, Sheena and Elena wanted to open a store where diverse athletes of all sports and team and studio affiliations could get the products they need to compete. Elena growing up as a full-time dancer always looking for activewear, also wanted to offer quality activewear apparel to other dancers, parents, and active people.
From the beginning, the goal of Pulse has always been to create a retail experience that is unique, fun and energetic while offering expertise and service to its customers!
